My lovely test cooks have been sending in feedback and photos of dishes destined for volume 2. When I started writing this post, I was including little snippets from testers’ feedback or observations about their photos but I soon realised it would almost take me longer than writing the actual book! So my apologies to those whom I have just name-checked rather than including some of their brilliant feedback, it is all greatly appreciated and will find its way into Vol 2 in some form.
If you have sent feedback and don’t see your photo, please email me, I may have missed it.
If you haven’t got around to testing, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time!
Gillian made me laugh out loud with her step-by-step feedback on Pat Hingle’s Pumpkin Bread with step 1 being - light the Murder, She Wrote votive…
With Angela watching over proceedings, how could it fail to be a success?! Gillian also made Louis Herthum’s Red Beans and Rice which was a clear and simple recipe “producing tasty results.” Hurrah!

PHEW and MY GOODNESS. What a lot of lovely test cooks I have! There is no way I can write the next volume without all of you lovely people so a million thank-yous to everyone for taking the time to do this for me. I love you all!
My next step is to look at my enormous spreadsheet and check if I have any straggler recipes that still need testing, or to see if any episodes are lacking a recipe.
Next up from me will be the episode guide and companion recipes for the first episode of season 3 and the one from which the iconic image of Jessica in her heart-shaped sunglasses is taken…
Coming to you on the 13th March.
