An advance copy has reached Cabot Cove. Word has it that Jessica Fletcher is even more enthralled than she was with The Sins of Castle Cove!
Greetings fellow fangelas! I’m sending this out a day ahead of the official book launch day, as there’s lots of exciting stuff going on. Let’s party!
Tomorrow I’m going to be Living My Life Like Angela Lansbury, all day long! I’ll follow all the brilliant advice Dame Angela has for us in her Positive Moves book.
I’ll be doing some Instagram Lives during the day where you can join me and ask anything you like about the Murder, She Cooked book in the chat.
I’m silverscreensuppers on Insta, do join me, just for the fun of it!
Here’s the menu I’ll be following from Positive Moves, so healthy!
7.30am BST - I’ll be kicking off my day with a non-alcoholic version of the Jessica Fletcher Tangerine Twist Cocktail and some melon slices.
11am BST - I’ll be having a cup of strawberries for my elevenses - join me for a Cabot Cove chit-chat!
12.30 pm BST - I’ll prepare a chopped salad with a vinaigrette to Dame Angela’s very own recipe to fortify me after I have done my workout routine!
1.30pm BST - I’ll be following the Angela Lansbury Positive Moves exercise video - as best I can! It’s an easy routine so get your pink jumpsuits on and join in.
There’s a fabulous freeform dancing bit at the end!
I’ll be having an Ann Blyth Blueberry muffin at some point in the afternoon so I might jump on Instagram then too.
The recipe for Ann’s muffins can be found here if you fancy rustling some up.
I might also do a quick Insta Live at 6pm BST to show everyone the splendour of my Angela Lansbury Cottage Pie, but I might be busy preparing for the evening event.
7pm BST - if you are a member of the London Writers’ Salon, do come to the cookalong in the LWS Cafe.
After all of that I’ll probably have a large glass of champagne then fall asleep!
On Sunday 2nd October I’m running a free cookalong to celebrate the book launch. It’s at 7pm BST so I hope you’ll be able to join me - time-zones allowing.
I’ll be making a recipe from Angela Lansbury’s own kitchen that’s in the Murder, She Cooked book, a date and walnut cake - with strawberry cream cheese!
You can cookalong with me, or just watch and chat with others about the show while the cakes are in the oven. Here’s the shopping list for the cake…
and here is the link to register for a ticket - it’s free and it will be lots of fun!
Murder, She Cooked Book Launch Cookalong
Last but not least, there’s still time to enter my competition to win a copy of the book. Just skip over here if you know the answer to the following question
To celebrate Dame Angela in all her glory in the role of Jessica, I hereby declare that I have invented a cocktail. The name of this cocktail is a reference to something that is a CLUE in an episode of Murder, She Wrote and there is a copy of the book up for grabs for anyone who knows which episode the phrase “Tangerine Twist” appears.
I’m sooooo excited that my book is ready to launch, I do hope that if you nab one, you will love it. Here’s the Amazon link - I think it will switch to whichever country you are based in, if not, just search for Murder, She Cooked - whoopeeeeee!
If you are in the UK or the USA you can order the book from your local bookshop if you prefer. Alas, I don’t think this is an option elsewhere.
Do let me know what you fancy cooking first!
It’s the perfect gift for the Murder, She Wrote fan in your life. Christmas is coming chums!

Elaine! Shame on you! Haha! As a “taster” episode I would recommend Murder Takes The Bus - report back!
I am ashamed to admit that I have never seen an episode of Murder, She Wrote. I feel this must change...
