Happy Murder, She Wrote Anniversary Day!
Join me for the Angela Lansbury Positive Moves workout tonight at 7pm BST!
Today is a day to celebrate! It’s the 40th anniversary of the date our beloved Murder, She Wrote first screened on TV. I hope you will all treat yourself to something Cabot Cove related.
I am thrilled to let you all know that the wonderful Thom Kofoed is launching something special today - a Murder, She Wrote inspired 2025 calendar. I’ve been lucky enough to get a sneaky peek and it is GLORIOUS!!!
When I opened it to find one of my very favourite images of Jessica on the very first page I almost fainted with delight!
The calendar is available to preorder for two weeks from today, it will then be printed and shipped before the end of October and will continue to be available for the rest of the year. Here’s the direct link and a quick flip through…
The calendar is made up of 12 new oil paintings of Jessica and her friends and Thom is selling the original artwork. I went berserk when these were released for sale to on Saturday. I was down by the sea with no internet signal frantically pressing the BUY button. My friends, I scored one! Someone had beat me to the “reflect and pause” pic but I got my second choice. Christmas treat to self, right? I’ll show it to you when I have it in my grubby little hands. I am as pleased as Punch.
Thom has got loads of other fabulous Angela Lansbury and Murder, She Wrote goodies and other lovely things besides so do check out his online shop and Facebook page. I found Thom through this zine, which of course is right up my street!
Thom is @thomkofoed on Instagram so do follow him there too. Talking of Instagram, why not join me there tonight for the Positive Moves workout? A lovely way of celebrating our beloved show by hanging out with the wonderful Angela for 50 minutes or so and doing some gentle stretches and expressive dancing! I am @silverscreensuppers if you don’t already follow me.
You will need a towel for the Archer Stretch
and a long scarf or belt for the leg stretching bit…
Pastel exercise comfy wear is positively encouraged - as are Murder, She Wrote related T-shirts. Of course, you are welcome to just watch me huffing and puffing from your sofa with a glass of champagne in your hand! It’s your Murder, She Wrote anniversary celebration, you choose!
Other ideas for ways to celebrate
Perhaps the easiest way of celebrating is to watch your favourite episode of the show. With a Tangerine Twist cocktail maybe?
Or something else from the Murder, She Cooked book of course!
If you weren’t lucky enough to score a ticket for the night of festivities hosted by the wonderful Tim Benzie of Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern tonight, why not book yourself a ticket to another of his rollicking shows?
Prize Draw
If you haven’t already entered my prize draw, there’s another week to do so.
I thought it would be nice in this month of festivities to get to know some of my readers. Let me know where you are in the world and how you got into Murder, She Wrote by leaving a comment on this post. I’ll put all the names into a hat and one person will win the following:
1 - A hand-written postcard from me here in the Cabot Cove of the UK, the wonderful seaside town of Hastings
The postcard features an illustration of Angela’s own Kitchen Sink Salad recipe. This was commissioned by me from Miriam Figueras and is not available in any shops - here I am in my Jessica Fletcher raincoat with the original artwork.
The one I send to you won’t be this big!
2 - Free access to content behind my paywall for one year - video demonstrations of Angela Lansbury recipes, peeks into the writing of Volume 2 of Murder, She Cooked and all kinds of behind-the-scenes fun and frolics!
3 - Special Membership status in the Cabot Cove Club - with zero responsibilities! The best thing about this is that you get to choose a character name for your alter-ego - yours for life. Who would you play in a reboot of Murder, She Wrote? You’ll be in great company…
