Cocktail ingredients list for the online book launch party!
Everyone invited, live on Instagram at 7pm BST on Friday 19th
Join me for one, two or three cocktails from the 1933 Celebrity Cocktail Competition booklet.
If you don’t drink booze, the Carole Lombard Golden Fizz can be made perfectly with non-alcoholic gin.
I will be live on Instagram - I’m @silverscreensuppers if you don’t already follow me - demonstrating three fabulous tipples. Do shake along with me, or join me with your preferred cocktail already in hand. CHEERS!

Other stuff
For the first two cocktails, you will need plenty of ice. It’s good for the Pousse-Cafe to have the booze and the glass chilled, and you’ll need a spoon to attempt this kind of effect… Marlene says the glass should be wet before you start.
For the first two cocktails, you will also need some kind of shaking vessel. Of course, a cocktail shaker is perfect, but if you don’t have one, you can use a jam jar or something else that has a tight-fitting lid or a teapot! That’s what my friend Katy uses and I’m going to give that a go on Friday night.
Glassware? Use whatever you have around the place, but you’ll see from the photos above that a tumbler is good for Carole’s, a martini-style glass works for Charlie’s and a small liqueur or sherry glass is nice for Marlene’s.
I hope to “meet” some of you at the online cocktail party!
